Some Header about Lawrence Ross

Lawrence C. Ross, Jr., author of The Divine Nine: The History of African American Fraternities and Sororities, is now booking Divine Nine lecture dates for the 2012 - 2013 school year. Having lectured at over 400 colleges and universities, the Divine Nine lecture is popular among students, faculty & student life administrators, as it offers lessons in fraternal history and tackles tough issues like pledging & hazing.

The Divine Nine lecture is great not only for NPHC students, but also NPC, NIC, NALFO, and non-Greek students as well. Not simply a history lesson, Ross engages his audience through entertaining skits and examples that teach as well as challenges Greeks to be better members.

Each Divine Nine lecture has a $3000 honorarium, inclusive of travel & lodging. There’s a 50% deposit to book a date, and the balance is due at the time of the lecture. Dates are booked on a first come, first served basis. To book a Divine Nine lecture, email alpha1906@gmail.com with your school information and your perspective date. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Lawrence Ross is a gifted and engaging speaker. High energy, enthusiasm, and love for Greek Community is evident from the moment he takes the stage…While his presentation would be a great addition to any NPHC week, Lawrence’s presentation is relevant to all Greek and non-Greeks alike.
-Jennifer Stults Krasnow, Arizona State
Lawrence Ross’ presentation and discussion around the topic of “The Divine Nine, it’s history, where we are today, and where we are headed,” was very well received not only by our student members of Divine Nine organizations but by all of our students, whether Greek letter affiliated or not…I strongly recommend him to speak to any student organization within Greek life.
-Ana Barraza, Texas Women’s College
If you are wondering how to bridge the gap between the Divine Nine and Multicultural Greek Organizations, Lawrence Ross is the speaker for you. He came to our campus and not only enlighten us on our rich history, but also worked to explained the similarities and difference between our two councils and ways we could develop a stronger presence on campus…I recommend bringing Lawrence to your next greek event, forum, or panel discussion and I am sure he will not only leave an impact on the greek community, but leave your greeks feeling empowered and wanting more.
